Check out mission workshop bro they have some decent pants a bit expensive but the pants I wear I use everyday and I’ve had them for about 2 years with no damage on them.. used in the winters used them in the summer.. the ulock fits in the back pockets without being uncomfortable
I just picked up my first post-2015 model. The cut was still good for me, the amount of stretch is a problem though! I bought a size that would normally fit my waist and it does on the first wear after laundry. As soon as i put my lock in the holster though it drops dangerously low! Who ever thought it would be a good idea to use such flexible fabric on a place where you are supposed to hang something heavy?

Great video! So the pants you are wearing are the pre 2015 model. But how would you know if its the 2015 or the old models? Thank you and keep it up =)
never used sirascha sauce before, but the grocery store had a cart of it for 99 cents a bottle, its like siracha and ketchup, anyway, bought it for the first time ever, first video i watch when i get home has a guy putting a bottle of it in his pants, what are the odds? it has a chicken on the bottle as well, illuminati confirmed? 😛
What’s the life on these, ie, how much riding did it take until they started wearing through? A month of daily commuting (100 mi/wk) killed a pair of Uniqlo selvedge jeans, I leapt for a pair of Rapha during a season off sale.. I got to between 3-4000 miles (just over a year of daily 20mi commutes) before I had to do the first patch. Pricey, though. Still.. lots of patching and three years on, I’m curious to compare them to other riding jeans..

I was going to buy a pair of these. Thanks for the video
I don’t really ride but these are the best pants I’ve ever owned

How do you ride in jeans in the summer in san diego??
all my jeans used to frey around the crotch; switched to slightly stretchy jeans and they no longer frey.
its 2017. would you still recommend getting 511s ? or do you have any other commuter pants to recommend? thanks
I’ve gone through 3 pairs of jeans due to my bicycle. I may invest in these yet

I wear Levi’s 531 jeans for cycling because they go with my Reynolds 531 steel frame…..I wear 531, I ride 531.
I wear no pants, so w/e

with that u lock holster if you fall and land on your u lock your going to shatter you hip, I’m not joking, this is a terrible design.
So where do I pick up a pair of pre 2015 511s?
brought pair of levis 511 but when i see the tag is only 99% cotton is my lives fake?
What do you ride now? Can you still get pre 2015s?
