My jeans fit guide & how to shop sustainable denim

Today it’s all about my 4 favourite jeans fits, and a lot of tips on how to consume denim more sustainably. The production of denim is among the most polluting in the whole fashion industry, so there’s good reason to rethink your consumption habits in this area. Enjoy babes!

Go for durable/longlasting qualities (non-stretchy fabrics or max 2% stretch), timeless and comfortable fits and try as much as possible to support sustainable brands and initiatives.

Love this video! However I think it is important to note that Everlane is NOT sustainable, they are “ethical” because they are transparent with their prices, but the materials they use are not sustainable or certified. I mean this just as an information and not to judge you in anyway! Love the content that you create :)

Lazybonez Lee says:

Is mom Jean straight leg? How come I think it’s more tapered.

Marta Arimont says:

Do you guys know http://mudjeans.eu ? Look up their story, it’s a really nice brand!

Ana says:

I love my Nudie jeans – amazing quality, and they also do raw denim for anyone interested in that. Their Skinny Lin style is my favourite skinny jean of all time; it’s a thick denim with a bit of stretch, so lasts a really long time while still fitting well. I really can’t say enough good things about them.

Also:I feel like mom and boyfriend jeans only look “effortlessly cool” on slender ladies. On my curves they just look lumpy and weird. Not sure if it’s the styles I’ve tried or if those fits are just not compatible with my body, but… yeah, I’ll stick to my skinny jeans :)

Myriam Scholtes says:

Hey Signe. For me the number one sustainable jeans brans is Kuyichi. It’s a dutch brand and they have been producing sustainable and fair denim since quite a while. I still have my first Kuyichi jeans which I purchased 13 years ago. Since then the quality has a bit changed as they use recycled cotton in nearly all their jeans. Definitely worth a look!!

Emilie Berg says:

Jazey Razey says:

Excellently researched and informative !! Levis have always been my jeans of choice – indeed, they are timeless !! :-)

anna langschwert says:

I got two skinny jeans (one high rise and one mid rise) from kings of indigo (sustainable brand from the Netherlands). I am super happy with the tight fit and the quality!
The fit of the armed angels jeans and mud jeans unfortunately didnt work for me but they are definitely worth a try. 😉

Julia says:

Do you know how the return terms of asos marketplace are? Because I`m really uncertain about the fitting of jeans :/ And sorry for my english

Miu Golightly says:

loving this video <3

Linda Elliott says:

Great video! Would love to see a video on styling straight leg jeans.

Melanie Horne says:

Hi! Reformation is one of the most well-known sustainable denim brands in NA:) haven’t tried myself yet but saving up!

Pamela JL Alexander says:

Good video. I am wondering if anyone knows sustainable places to buy more classic jeans, i.e. dark wash, mid rise, full length skinny or straight leg that is at least 33″ inseam to fit long legs. Something you could wear as easily with a big sweater or a camisole or a blazer, with boots or high heels, in all seasons. In Canada we frequently have 6 months of winter so shorter length jeans don’t work very well as a year-round capsule piece. I shop at Everlane but find their jeans too short. Have looked at Reformation and also DL1961 but price points are quite high and I’m not sure what they mean by ‘sustainable’. Grateful if anyone has ideas!

Ainhoa Benavente says:

i cant leave without high waisted jeans and mom my fav! :)

Diana Sussman Tockstein says:

Hi Signe! I stumbled upon your channel a few weeks ago, and I have watched almost all of your videos. I just switched to a sustainable lifestyle, and I love your style. I am so happy I found you! Could you maybe do a capsule wardrobe or a minimalist packing list example for a very hot climate? I am studying abroad this summer in Granada, Spain and bringing only a carry on. it’s hot there and I need some inspiration!

rugamu says:

Does everlane sells in europe?

Bella Mercado says:

Love your style! Frank and Oak has a sustainable collection that’s quite cute as well!

Yvonne Booklall says:

hi hun, how tall are you???

Géssica Rocha says:

Love it, Signe! My jeans collection is quite similar to yours in terms of fits and washes. I love my secondhand Levi’s jeans too and only get them this way. Right now I’m looking for a new preloved addition to my autumn/winter capsule wardrobe. It’s probably gonna be a mid/highwaisted, light washed one :)

Courtney Mason says:

So, so informative. Thank you for making this video!

Victoria B says:

Love your videos! such wonderful tips & ideas! Question: how did you get the Everlane? cause they do not deliver in Europe…2nd hand?

Noelle Teller says:

Hello! Great video. Wanted to mention that I just purchased a pair of everlane bone colored which is basically an off-white color, skinny jean. I haven’t received them yet, but from your videos and reviews of the jeans on their website I decided to give them a try. I have a hard time finding jeans that look good and I wanted a pair of white jeans that weren’t see through. Really hoping that I fall in love with these jeans. Wasn’t sure on the size as reviews were mixed on whether they fit large or true to size. I hope I ordered correct.

Emily Johnson says:

Everlane makes wonderful skinny jeans, I purchased a pair in the dark wash around 8 months ago and they have become my favorite piece in my wardrobe.

Yvette G says:

Also check out the brand Wunderwerk. They have nice different styles of jeans! the Josy “jeans” might be the right pair for you if you are looking for some skinny fit. They are a more of a jogger/sweat pants feel really comfortable and midrise/high rise

Heather Ranieri says:

great tips will checkout asos eco edit : )

Ana Hewett says:

Thank you! Great video!

Julie says:

So great to see you back! Always enjoy your videos!

Patricia Sorensen says:

I need more than one pair of jeans.

xxelodiaxx says:

Par.co Denim is a sustainable italian brand. They don’t have lots of styles yet, but I hope they will in the future.

Nira I says:

Hi Signe. Thank you for a useful video! It also would be interesting to watch, how to bring leather shoes a new life. I buy second-hand shoes, from time to time; so do you know any tips , how to make them like new?
