The Knox Richmond jeans offer everything you could want from a high quality motorcycle jean and are now in stock and available from Urban Rider http://www.urbanrider.co.uk/brands/knox-studio-collection.html
The Richmond jeans are available in Black and in denim blue. Leg length is 33″ and can be taken up if required. The jeans are fully lined with genuine DuPont KEVLAR throughout. The outer is made from Cordura denim, offering a total abrasion resistance on par with any jeans on the market.
The Richmond jeans come with Level 1 CE approved knee and hip armour included in the price.
What separates these motorcycle jeans os the ease of removing and inserting the armour. Simply unzip the hidden side pocket and remove as required without the need to take the jeans off. This also means you don’t have the lateral stitching in the knee area – a giveaway for many bike jeans that they are not standard jeans.

I’ve just bought a pair. I love them apart from one crucial aspect. Sadly, my inside leg measurement is only 29″ and the jeans come only in 33″ length. No problem having them shortened, however, there is absolutely no way the knee armour can be adjusted to fit my knees as my knees are 4″ short of the original placement.
Andrew, have you tried the Spectra lined Buxton jeans (same cut as the Richmond’s) or the new relaxed fit Roman jeans(kevlar lined like the Richmond) ? Any comments or thought on those would be appreciated. Better yet, reviews!
Hi There..
Many motorcycle jeans and reviews around.. But why doesn’t the web have more info on the durability, abbration resistance etc. ? In a pair of protective clothing, I need more info on their preformance.. All the brands say they are the best, but we need an ISO standard or something to rely on.
Amazing value. I wonder if they’re too hot in really hot weather like Portugal and Spain in summer. Shame they’re not boot-cut.
People provide different inputs about how accurate the sizing is. Some say measure your actual waist size, others say base it on the size pants you wear. My actual waist size is 33in but I wear 30 Levi’s slim fit jeans. I’m trying to come up with a calculated guess as to which size to get. May I know this guy’s height ang weight please?
Great review – thanks. It appears these jeans will suit my round the world trip just perfectly.
