Have you ever tried the Tencel edition of the high rise skinnies? They’re $135 but SO worth the extra $$$. Madewell is the only stretchy jean I’ll wear. My biggest beef with them is the sizing. First off, the standard inseam being 28.5 drives me nuts! I’m 5’8” with long legs and my inseam is 32”. I bought the Tall length because they don’t have the Taller in store, and they’re a 30.5” inseam. It works as ankle crop jeans for me but I really wish they were like most other stores where 30” or even 31” is standard. My second issue is the insane level of vanity sizing. I purchase jeans exclusively by measurements. Before going into the Madewell store, I looked at their sizing chart. According to them, size 26 measures a 26” waist. My waist is exactly 26”, but when I tried on that size they were falling off. Ultimately the salesperson decided I needed a 23 Tall, which they didn’t carry in store. I settled for the 24T, which I can wear but they slip down considerably. I understand that the goal is to make women feel as if they’re smaller than they are so they shop there, but it’s upsetting that they blatantly lie on their size chart for those of us who just want jeans that fit! I’ll still keep purchasing them, though.

How tall are you? Those jeans seem amazing! Do you buy yours online?
