Gustin Selvedge Denim Review

In the world of selvedge denim it’s easy to spend north of $300 for a pair of jeans. I don’t understand how two pairs of pants made from the same material from the same factory can have such different prices. Brands like Gustin have made cool denim affordable, yes they’re more than a pair of Levi’s 501s but youre getting a much better product as well. Let me know what you think about this review of some Gustin denim!

Casey Hassett says:

Wrong emphasis on the wrong syllable in regards to “sel vedge”

Visaliaipa says:

Great looking pair of Gustins……. I ordered a pair of the 18 ounce and love them. My on,y problem I guess is since they come in only one inseam (36″) and I’m a shorter stature guy, how do you cuff yours…? I normally wear about a 30″ inseam so they are super long on me and I have to cuff them but I don’t want them to have a huge cuff……

Gentleman Within says:

Love selvedge, especially when cuffed. How stiff would you say they are?

Mike D says:

Just received my Gustin Japanese selvedge jeans. Frankly I’m not that impressed. Sure they are cheaper than a lot of more popular Japanese brands but the fabric and build is nothing special and lacks character. I won’t buy them again.

Mr Riceball says:

Gustin is great! It just takes forever to receive in the mail, since they need a specific amount of orders sold.

David Castro says:

It would be nice to see these on you since I have a similar build

Migrant says:

Good call on Violate, Ultraviolet is the color of the year this year.

Chuy Chubasquino says:

Gustin’s button flys are so nice, easy to use. Great quality jeans. This “campaign” sold super quick.. I’m sure it’ll run again, keep checking their website.

muchas gracias says:

Gustin periodically re-run certain campaigns so if you like something that has gone, its always worthwhile checking their website or even subscribing to their newsletter as it may just be offered again.

Fit Man Style says:

The button fly is a nice twist to it, and i’d be cuffing them jeans everywhere I go to show the red. Great review man!

Hey Carl thanks for another great video. Just wanted to see if you’ve heard about a brand called Sid Mashburn they’re not really well known so I was curious if you had, but in case you haven’t I was hoping you could check them out and (hopefully) do a review. Thanks for the awesome content.

If you ever get a pair of denim that too loose or needs to be tapered. Railcar Fine Goods does an amazing job altering your pants. I noticed a lot of people selling their Gustin jeans when it doesn’t fit right. I think you could simply get them tailored to fit like a glove.

Kamil Bojarczuk says:

They’ve just re-run fiery red jeans campaign if anyone is interested. I’ve got my pair of 1968’s yesterday. My first pair of raw jeans ever, looks very nice and fits well.

Corey Busby says:

What was the name of Gustin campaign you backed to get these jeans? I own several but my favorites are the 1968s…they just really fit my style

Jay Sens says:

Great video, very informative.
